Austin Barnes & Noble stores gear up for Lee’s “Watchman”


Barnes & Noble stores in the Austin area are gearing up for the Tuesday release of Harper Lee’s “Go Set a Watchman” by hosting read-a-thons on Monday.

The events will start at 9 a.m. at Austin area stores and last till 9 p.m.

Then on Tuesday, the stores will begin selling copies of “Go Set a Watchman” at 7 a.m.

As most folks know, “Go Set a Watchman” is one of the most anticipated book titles of the year. It features the same characters as Lee’s Pulitzer-winning “Mockingbird,” but it takes place 40 years later.
